A credit is Fay’s unit of usage. 1,000 credits = $1.00. Your monthly plan includes a credit allowance that covers everything your agents and workflows do — actions, integrations, workflow runs, and AI usage.

AI costs are passed through at the actual model cost with zero markup. Whether your agent calls GPT-4o or Claude 3.5 Sonnet, you pay exactly what the model charges — no hidden margin. The minimum charge per AI call is 10 credits.

Platform credits are the non-AI costs: integration actions, workflow runs, and tool calls. Pro and Team plans include a 10% and 20% discount on these charges respectively. AI token costs are not discounted — they’re already passed through at cost.

Pro, Team, and Enterprise customers can connect their own API keys for AI providers like OpenAI or Anthropic. When BYOK is enabled, AI token costs go directly to your existing model contracts — Fay only charges for platform usage.

Yes. Unused credits from your monthly allowance carry over to the next billing period, up to 100% of your monthly plan amount. So if you’re on Pro (100,000 credits/month) and use 60,000, your 40,000 unused credits roll forward. Credits expire after 12 months.

Yes, on any active paid plan. Additional credits are $1 per 1,000 credits, purchased in $10 increments. Top-up credits don’t expire for 12 months.

Any time an agent interacts with an external service — sending an email, creating a ticket, updating a CRM, searching the web, calling a webhook — that’s an action. Each costs 10 credits (~$0.01). Workflow runs cost the same. AI reasoning on top of those actions is billed separately at actual model cost.

Agents are AI-powered workers that think, decide, and act autonomously toward a goal. Workflows are deterministic automation sequences — they run the same way every time, every step. Fay’s hybrid architecture lets you combine both: you can embed an agent as a node inside a workflow, or trigger a workflow from an agent.

Architect is Fay’s built-in AI builder. Describe what you want in plain language — an agent that triages inbound leads, a workflow that generates weekly reports — and Architect designs, configures, and deploys it for you. No coding or configuration required.

That’s right. All plans — including the free trial — include unlimited agents and unlimited workflows. You’re only billed for what they actually do, not for creating them.

Yes, on Pro, Team, and Enterprise. With BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys), you connect your existing API contracts for providers like OpenAI or Anthropic. Fay runs on top of your keys and only charges for platform actions — not AI tokens.

After 7 days, your workspace is paused and your trial credits expire. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time — your agents, workflows, and settings are preserved. Each account is eligible for one trial.

Any in-progress AI responses will complete. New agent actions and workflow runs are blocked until you top up or your monthly credits renew. You can purchase additional credits any time on a paid plan.

No. Your data is never used to train AI models.
